New Delhi, Sept 29 (IBNS): In the wake of the Bharatiya Janata Party-Shiv Sena split in Maharashtra, Sena MP Anant Geete will resign from Narendra Modi's Cabinet after the Prime Minister returns from his US trip.
He was the only Shiv Sena MP in Modi's Cabinet.

Geete holds an important portfolio of  Heavy Industries.

Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray made the announcement on Monday.

Meanwhile, Home Minister Rajnath Singh reportedly said that no decision has been taken on whether or not Geete will continue in the Union Cabinet.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Shiv Sena last week decided to contest the Maharashtra Assembly elections alone breaking the grand and 25-year-old 'Mahayuti' alliance.
