After denied RS ticket Kumar Vishwas hits out at Arvind Kejriwal

New Delhi, Jan 3 (IBNS) : New Delhi, Jan 3 (IBNS): In a renewed in-house squabbling, Aam Aadmi Party leader Kumar Vishwas on Wednesday  hit out at  Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal after the party did not field him as one of the candidates for three Rajya Sabha seats, media reports said.

The AAP has announced the names of Sanjay Singh, businessman Sushil Gupta and chartered accountant ND Gupta as its three candidates.

According to Times Now, Vishwas' supporters shouted  slogans at the AAP office last week, demanding that he should be sent to the upper house of Parliament. However, his candidature was rejected.

"I was punished for speaking the truth," Vishwas was quoted as saying.

He claimed that Arvind Kejriwal had once threatened to him to finish off without making him a martyr.

"I accept my martyrdom...but don't interfere with the body," Vishwas  told reporters.

The tenure of the current members - Janardan Dwivedi, Parvez Hashmi and Karan Singh of the Congress - will end on January 27 necessitating Rajya Sabha polls.

Earlier, reports had suggested that Vishwas  might be fielded to contest a Lok Sabha by-election from Ajmer in Rajasthan.

Hindustan Times reported on Tuesday that a section of AAP leaders had approached the party high command demanding that Vishwas, the party’s Rajasthan in-charge, be fielded from Ajmer.

The Vishwas camp had, however, suggested that the leader was keen to contest the Rajya Sabha polls and that the demand to field him from Ajmer was actually a ploy to make sure he doesn't get the RS ticket.
