Ahmedabad/IBNS: An Air India plane has crashed near the airport in Ahmedabad, media reports said.

Thick smoke is seen from the airport.

Roads have been closed.

A huge number of ambulances have been rushed to the spot.

The London bound plane was carrying at least 242 passengers.
