Pangkalan, Jan 12 (IBNS): Divers recovered one of the two black boxes on Monday from the AirAsia plane that fell into the Java Sea more than two weeks ago, media reports said.

National search and rescue agency Chief Henry Bambang Soelistyo said: “The flight data recorder was found under part of the plane’s wing. It was brought to the surface early on Monday morning.”

Sources said the flight data recorder would be taken to Jakarta for further analysis.

“It could take up to two weeks to download its recorded data,” said National Committee for Safety Transportation investigator Nurcahyo Utomo.
