Akhilesh Yadav's first poll campaign triggers controversy

Lucknow, Jan 24 (IBNS): With UP elections coming, state Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday commenced his campaign but waded into a fresh controversy, media reports said.

The controversy broke as he shared the stage at his first rally with Gayatri Prajapati, a controversial minister he had sacked for corruption.

He was forced to take back Prajapati on father Mulayam Singh Yadav's insistence.

Not only did he shared the stage but asked for votes on behalf of Prajapati.

Soon after this, the BJP questioned Yadav whether Gayatri Prajapati is the brand ambassador of the UP CM.
