Andhra Pradesh: Three killed as car plunges into roadside canal in East Godavari

Kakinada: Three persons were killed and three others, including the driver, had a miraculous escape when the car they were travelling on their way back from Maredumilli to Eluru lost control and plunged into roadside canal near Ayyenagala village on the outskirts of Burugupudi in Korukonda mandal of east Godavari district in the wee hours of Sunday, police said.

The car was pulled out using a car and the body of one of the deceased was retrieved and search is on to trace the other two bodies, police added.

It is stated that all those travelling in the ill-fated car were students of Sri Ramachandra engineering college in Eluru.

The deceased were identified as Uday Kiran, Veeravalli village, Gannavaram mandal, T Hemanth Hanuman Nagar, Eluru and Dude Harshavardhan Peddapadu village, Eluru.
