Anna Hazare leads protest against land bill

Palwal, Haryana, Feb 20 (IBNS) Anti-corruption activist Anna Hazare is on protest path again. He flagged off a march from Haryana to New Delhi against the recent Land Acquisition Bill brought by an ordinance of the BJP-led government in New Delhi.

Hazare is protesting against the land bill with farmers' groups, urging the Modi government to withdraw the ordinance.

At Gandhi Ashram in Palwal in Haryana he flagged off the march. About 15,000 farmers are participating in the protest.

On Feb 23-24, Anna Hazare will also lead a protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi against the bill he dubbed anti-farmer.

He also threatened a mass movement on the issue.
