Answer of peace lies in Buddha: Modi

| | May 04, 2015, at 05:30 pm
New Delhi, May 4 (IBNS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said in times like now the message of peace will come from the life and words of Lord Buddha.

Addressing the International Buddha Purnima Diwas celebrations here, he prayed for the people affected by the earthquake in Nepal and said: "In times like these, where will the message of Karuna come from? The answer lies in Buddha."

"Without Buddha this century cannot be Asia's century. It is said that the 21st century will be Asia's century. There is no disagreement on that," he said.

"If we want freedom from Yudh (war), it can be through the Marg of Buddha," he said.
