Anurag Thakur takes charge as Information and Broadcasting Minister

New Delhi/UNI: Anurag Thakur on Thursday assumed charge as Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has done remarkable work in the last seven years and he will work to fulfill the expectations and responsibilities given to him as the Information and Broadcasting Minister, Thakur said.

Thakur, who was the Minister of States in the Finance Ministry, was promoted to the Cabinet rank in yesterday's mega reshuffle and expansion of the Modi Cabinet.

He is a BJP Lok Sabha Member from Hamirpur in Himachal Pradesh.
