AP Singh resigns UPSC member

New Delhi, Jan 14 (IBNS): Former Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) director AP Singh has stepped down as a Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) member, media reports said on Wednesday.

"His resignation has been sent to President Pranab Mukherjee," NDTV reported quoting sources.

The exact reason behind his decision to resign from the post is still not known.

He had served as the CBI director from 2010 to 2012.

He was appointed to the UPSC in 2013 for a five-year term.
