Around 50 percent students fail class 10 examination in Bihar

Patna, June 22 (TheBiharPost/IBNS) :: Around 50 percent students have failed the matriculation examination conducted by the Bihar School Examination Board this year.

The result was announced by BSEB chairman Anand Kishore on Thursday.


Of the total over 17. 23 lakh students appearing  the grade 10 examination, only 8.63 lakh passed, which comes to around 50.12 percent.

Prem Kumar from Govind High school, Lakhisarai was declared the Bihar topper. He secured over 93 percent marks.

Officials said 13.91 percent students passed the examination with first division, 26.88 percent with second division whereas 9.32 percent passed with third division.

This time the authorities declared the list of toppers after physical verification and proper interview.
