Arunachal Pradesh: Assam Rifles jawan killed, another injured in ambush

Itanagar/UNI:  A Jawan of Assam Rifles was killed and another injured in an ambush by suspected militants near Jairampur in Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh on Sunday, sources said.

As per sources, the incident took place this morning. A search operation was underway.

"No official report has been received so far," Guwahati-based Defence PRO Lt Col P Khongsai said.

Meanwhile, Arunachal Pradesh Police (APP) PRO Hemant Tiwari confirmed the incident.

However, "no report of death was received so far," he added.
