New Delhi/IBNS: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tested negative for novel coronavirus on Tuesday, a day after he went into self-isolation with mild fever and sore throat.

Aam Aadmi Party sources earlier in the day told media that Kejriwal was feeling slightly better.

The Delhi CM had been unwell since Sunday afternoon.

He had isolated himself at his government bungalow in Delhi.

On Monday, Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia said Kejriwal had quarantined himself and cancelled all his meetings after he felt unwell on Sunday afternoon.

"As per doctor's advice, the CM will undergo a Covid test tomorrow. We are praying that he gets well soon and actively works for Delhi people as he was doing," said Sisodia had said.

Kejriwal was one of the CMs who were holding regular meetings with government officials since the outbreak of the pandemic virus in the country.
