Ashwini Choubey inaugurates Synmposium on ‘Life after Spinal Cord Injury’

New Delhi, Sept 5 (IBNS): Ashwini Kumar Choubey, Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare, inaugurated the Symposium on ‘Life after Spinal Cord Injury’ on the occasion of World Spinal Cord Injury Day at the AIIMS Trauma Centre, here on Tuesday.

The Minister also released a Home Care Book for Spinal Cord Injury and also felicitated the Spinal Cord Injury patients treated at the Trauma Centre.

Speaking at the function, Ashwini Choubey said that there is a dire need for setting up more well equipped Spinal Cord Injury Centres in the country.

He also highlighted the need for accelerating integrated rehabilitation of such patients and applauded the AIIMS Trauma Centre for its services in the treatment and rehabilitation of Spinal Cord Injury patients.

He was optimistic that the book released by him will be immensely useful for spinal cord injury patients in their rehabilitation. 

The Minister also congratulated the doctors of the Trauma Centre and the Paralympic Committee of athlete of India for organizing the Symposium.
