Assam: BSF troops apprehended person along with contraband drugs and Bangladeshi currency notes

Guwahati/IBNS: The Border Security Force (BSF) personnel have recovered a huge quantity of contraband drugs and apprehended a drug peddler with Bangladeshi currency notes in Assam’s Karimganj district.

Based on intelligence input, the BSF troops deployed along the Indo-Bangladesh border in Karimganj district had launched an operation at South Lafasail village near the international border and recovered a huge quantity of illegal contraband drugs from a house on Friday evening.

BSF personnel had recovered 8287 numbers Yaba tablets and 1370 Bangladeshi Taka from the house and apprehended the house owner identified as Hokir Ali.
