Assam CM welcomes the Union Budget, terms it unique

Guwahati, Jul 5 (IBNS): Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has welcomed the Union Budget – 2019, which was presented by the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Friday and said that – this budget is mainly targeted to promote the national economy up to 5 trillion dollar by 2024-25.

“This is a unique budget. This budget will help our farmers and doubling their income by 2022. I am especially thankful to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for giving this very very important budget to the country. Also especial thanks to Union Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman and her group who brought a very meaningful budget for the country,” Sonowal said.

Earlier, Sonowal had felicitated the meritorious students of Assam Police personnel’s families at a programme held at Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra in Guwahati.
