Assam Rifles crack down illegal armoury shop, seiz large number of arms in Nagaland’s Peren district

Guwahati/IBNS: Jalukie Battalion of Assam Riles under the aegis of HQ IGAR(N) cracked down on an illegal armoury shop being run under the guise of a mechanic repair at C block New Jalukie, Peren district on Tuesday.

Based on specific intelligence regarding presence of armoury shop in the area, the troops of Assam Rifles along with police representative launched an operation and apprehended one person.

The troops recovered a large number of weapons, raw material and equipment used for making/ modifying weapons like pistols and rifles.

The apprehended person along with recovered items was handed over to Jalukie police station for further investigation.
