Assam Rifles organizes drawing cum poster competition

Guwahati, Sept 13 (IBNS) : 32 Assam Rifles, under the aegis of HQ IGAR(North), recently organised a ‘Drawing cum Poster making competition’ on the theme ‘HIV/AIDS Awareness’ at Government Middle School, Bamanpukhri-B, Dimapur district.

The aim of the event was to spread awareness about HIV/ AIDS and to identify the skills of budding talents.

The event was attended by approximately 45 students from various standards, who participated enthusiastically in the competition and produced imaginative paintings highlighting preventive measures of HIV/ AIDS.

The event was followed by Prize distribution to winners and refreshments.

On the other hand, 5 Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters IGAR (N) provided sports items to Government College, Zunheboto on Tuesday.

The assistance was provided on the request from the sports committee of the college to encourage the youth for healthy living.

During the interaction with Principal of the college, the Commandant 5 Assam Rifles assured of its continuous support and all possible help to build up the sports culture among the youths.
