Guwahati, Jan 30 (IBNS): A sensational incident came to light in Assam's Hojai district, with a woman trying to commit suicide after killing her two minor children.

The incident was reported on Monday after local people and police recovered the bodies of the children from a deep well.

According to the reports, the woman named Saheda Begum, resident of Hojai town in the middle Assam district, killed her two minor children on Sunday morning and hid their bodies inside the deep well.

The woman also tried to cover up the incident by making it appear as a kidnapping case.

Later, local police arrested the accused woman.
