Guwahati, Feb 2 (IBNS): Continuing its operation against the Bangladesh based terrorist organization Jamaat ul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB), security forces have arrested an operative of JMB from Kerala.

According to the reports, the Special Task Force of Kolkata police have arrested the JMB operative identified as Abdul Matin from Kerala’s Mallapuram area on Thursday.

Following the Burdwan blast, India’s premier investigating agency National Investigation Agency (NIA) had arrested several JMB terrorists from West Bengal, Assam and other parts of the country.

Meanwhile, Assam DGP Kuladhar Saikia on Saturday said that the Assam police have already sent a team to Kolkata to interrogate the arrested JMB operative.

“Following the clue of the Burdwan blast case, we had arrested people from Assam’s Barpeta area. At that time we are looking one fellow named Abdul Matin and now he has been caught in Kerala with the help of different agencies and he was brought to Kolkata. We will take him in our custody,” Kuladhar Saikia said.
