Assembly Elections: Arun Jaitley calls UP Congress-SP alliance opportunistic

Lucknow, Feb 14 (IBNS): On a campaign trail in Uttar Pradesh, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said that the state is the biggest state of the nation, it's development is inevitable for development of India, according to media reports on Tuesday.

During a media briefing in Lucknow, Jaitley said, "The Congress-SamajwadiParty alliance is an opportunistic one."

According to him, the alliance has been forged "under compulsion".

He said, "We've earmarked 3.96 lakh cr only for infrastructure development this year which is more than total plan outlay of UPA budget."
