Atishi pamphlet row: Sisodia to file defamation against BJP leader Gautam Gambhir

| @indiablooms | May 10, 2019, at 04:02 pm

New Delhi, May 10 (UNI) The political blame game over a reportedly 'derogatory' pamphlet against AAP East Delhi Lok Sabha candidate Atishi which the party claimed was circulated by her rival BJP nominee Gautam Gambhir is getting ugly with senior AAP leader and Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Friday saying defamation case will be against Mr Gambhir.

"You should have apologized for this disgustful act (circulating pamphlet). We will file defamation. How did you dare to circulate pamphlet and shamelessly impose false allegation on Chief Minister (Arvind Kejriwal)?," Mr Sisodia said in a tweet.

His statement comes hours after the BJP candidate Gautam Gambhir sent defamation notice to him, Kejriwal, and Atishi for levelling false allegations against him of circulating the derogatory pamphlet.

Meanwhile, Atishi met the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chief Swati Maliwal and submitted a complaint in connection with the matter.

The AAP candidate sought the intervention of the DCW chief to ensure that there is a thorough and independent probe and the act should not go unpunished.
