Bengal Crime: Civic volunteer's body recovered from jute field in Nadia

Krishnagar, May 13(UNI) The body of a civic volunteer was recovered today in the morning from an agriculture field from Mayurhat area under Hashkhali police station in Nadia district.

The deceased was identified as Shiv Kumar Sharma(28), a resident of Mayurhat area.

Family sources said, Sharma did not return home yesterday and calls to his cell phone remained unanswered.

Today in the morning, some people found his body in a jute field near his house and informed the police.

Police said, Sharma's body bore marks of bullet injury.

His family is clueless about the reasons behind his death.

Police has launched a probe in the case.
