Bhilai gas leak: Toll rises to six

Bhilai, June 13 (IBNS): The death toll in the gas leakage at Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL)'s Bhilai Steel Plant in Chhattisgarh's Durg district rose to six on Friday, said reports.

According to reports, over 35 people were affected in the incident.

At least six people were killed and several others fell ill following leakage of poisonous gas at the Bhilai Steel Plant on Thursday.

According to reports, two Deputy General Managers were killed in the mishap.

The injured people were admitted to hospital.

 Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh tweeted: "My heart goes down for families of deceased @ BSP Bhilai.In touch with Union Ministers & local administration for relief & rescue operations."
