Big blow to terror in Jammu and Kashmir: Top JeM commander Saifullah Baloch killed in Kishtwar encounter

At least three terrorists were killed during a gunfight with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar district on Sunday, White Knight Corps said.

A top commander of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Saifullah Baloch, was trapped during the operation and killed in the ensuing gunfight, India Today reported.

Saifulla Baloch was one of the most wanted terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir. He carried a bounty of Rs 5 lakh.

The White Knight Corps posted on X: "In continued operations under #OpTrashi-I in Kishtwar, troops of CIF (D) #WhiteKnightCorps, in coordination with @JmuKmrPolice and #CRPF, have 𝗻𝗲𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗱 𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗽𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱."

The White Corps said the joint operation was launched in the Kishtwar region under Operation Trashi-I to track and neutralise terrorists operating in the area.

" Displaying tactical precision, seamless synergy and resolute aggression, troops dominated the encounter site wherein 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗻𝗲𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱. 𝗪𝗮𝗿-𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀 including 02 x AK-47 rifles have also been recovered," reads the X post.
