Patna, Dec 22 (TheBiharPost): Police in Bihar have arrested a man who would deliver letters in the day but work for the Maoists by night.

Acting on a tip-off, the police raided a village in Jehanabad district and arrested a man with arms and ammunition.

The arrested man was identified as Ramji Yadav, who was working as a postman at a local post office located at Korra village.

“He would work as a postman in the day but join the Maoist’s armed squad by night,” a local police official Anil Singh told the media on Thursday.

Singh is leading a campaign against the Maoists in the district.

According to the police official, the arrested Maoist was involved in an attack on a construction company in Nawada district last month.

Bihar has been badly afflicted with Maoist activities and according to reports, the rebels have established areas of influence in certain pockets of the state.
