Bihar: Youth shot dead in Sitamarhi

Sitamarhi/UNI: A youth was shot dead in Aadarsh colony under Mehsaul police station area in Sitamarhi district.

Police said here today that Monu Singh, son of Dashrath Singh was shot dead by criminals in Pandal erected for installation of the idol of Maa Saraswati on the occasion of Vasantpanchami festival late last night. Monu was studying in Patna and had come to his native village on the occasion of Vasantpanchami, police added.

"Old enmity was stated to be the reason behind the killing", police said adding that the body had been sent for postmortem. Raids were being carried out to nab the criminals, police further added.
