BJP attempts to create positive impression among Muslims at large

New Delhi, Sep 28 (IBNS): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has decided to work for a image makeover among the Muslim community, according to media reports on Wednesday.

The central government has decided to initiate 'progress panchayat' to strengthen its position among the Muslim communities.

NDA ministers have been asked to visit panchayats in Muslom-dominated areas, media reported.

The first progress panchayat will be held at Mewat, Haryana on Thursday.

Union minister for minorities affairs, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, is expected to be present at the meeting and is likely to travel to other states too to dispel doubts about the BJP among Muslims. according to media reports.
