BJP leader Brijendra Singh joins Congress ahead of Lok Sabha polls

BJP leader and Lok Sabha Member of Parliament from Hisar Brijendra Singh resigned from the primary membership of the party and joined the Congress on Sunday.

After resigning from BJP, Brijendra Singh reached the residence of Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and joined the party in his presence.

Earlier in the day, Singh through his post X said that he was resigning from BJP "due to compelling political reasons."

He also thanked BJP president JP Nadda and Home Minister Amit Shah for giving him opportunity to serve the people of Hisar as MP.

"I have resigned from the primary membership of BJP, due to compelling political reasons. I extend gratitude to the party, National President Sh. JP Nadda, Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, & Amit Shah for giving me the opportunity to serve as the Member of Parliament for Hisar," Brijendra Singh tweeted.
