BJP spreading terror in Varanasi: Kejriwal

| | Apr 29, 2014, at 08:07 pm
Varanasi, Apr 29 (IBNS) Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of terrorising the people of Varanasi.

"BJP is spreading terror in Varanasi so much so that people are scared to cast their votes," said Kejriwal.

"Earlier only I was being attacked, but now the BJP hooligans are even attacking common people," he alleged.

Kejriwal demanded deployment of central forces and more security for the people in Varanasi.

The AAP workers on Tuesday alleged that they were attacked by BJP activists at Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh.

They alleged that while campaigning near Assi Ghat on Monday night, some BJP workers manhandled them.

"They were BJP workers. They called Kejriwal an escapist. When we asked them to sit and debate, they got more people and beat us up," AAP worker Ankit Lal was quoted as saying by CNN-IBN.

While AAP claimed that some of its workers have been injured in the incident, a First Information Report (FIR) has been filed in this regard.
