Blue Whale hits Assam : Minor boy admitted in hospital

Guwahati, Aug 29 (IBNS) : The first incident of the online Blue Whale challenge in Assam came to light after a minor boy in Guwahati was admitted at Guwahati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) on Tuesday.

According to the reports, the family members of the minor boy admitted him at the hospital after he is suffering from major depressive disorder.

A family member of the boy said he had reportedly completed up to 40th task of the online challenge game.

He is now treated at the hospital under physicians observation.

Blue Whale Challenge is an Internet game and it was began in Russia in 2013.

Under the game, the administrators assign the players a series of tasks during a 50-day period and final challenge requiring the player to commit suicide.
