Lucknow, Apr 16 (UNI) Akash Anand, nephew of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati, who was figured in the list of 20 star campaigners released by the party on Friday, made his debut speech in Agra's joint rally of the anti BJP alliance comprising BSP-Samajwadi Party and Rashtriya Lok Dal on Tuesday.

Mayawati was not present in the rally at Agra as she has been restrained by the Election Commission from campaign for 48 hours commencing from 6 am of April 16.

Akash Anand made a brief speech and appealed to the people to give a befitting reply to the Election Commission by ensuring forfeiture of the security deposits of the rival candidates in the Lok sabha seats going to the polls in second phase of elections on April 18.

" I pay my gratitude to you as you have gathered here in such large numbers on the appeal of my `Bua’. I have come for the first time before you. I want to make an appeal to you to ensure victory of the alliance candidates as that will be the befitting reply to the curbs on my Buaji imposed by the Election commission’’, said Akash Anand.
