Cabinet to decide on Budget session schedule today

New Delhi, May 29 (IBNS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi's new Cabinet will meet here on Thursday to decide the schedule of the Budget Session of Parliament.

According to reports, the Budget Session is likely to start on June 2 and would continue for a week.

Meanwhile, former parliamentary affairs minister and senior Congress leader Kamal Nath will be the pro-tem Speaker of the new Lok Sabha.

"As the pro-tem speaker, Mr Nath will be expected to formally kick-off the proceedings to the new Lok Sabha. Among his responsibilities will be to swear-in the newly-elected MPs and facilitate the election of the Speaker of the 16th Lok Sabha," reported NDTV.
