Centre committed to preserving the rights of Kashmiri Pandits: Narendra Modi says during J&K visit

Vijaypur, Feb 3 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday raised the issue of Kashmiri Pandits and said his government is committed to solving their problems.

Modi said his government is committed to restoring the pride of these people.

"The Centre is committed to ending the hardships faced by Kashmiri Pandits," Modi said.

"We are devoted to restoring their pride," he said.

Modi visited Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday.

He inaugurated and laid foundation stones for various development projects in the state.

Jammu visit of Narendra Modi was marked by the PM laying the foundation stone of AIIMS at Vijaypur, Samba.

Modi said that the setting up of AIIMS will provide quality healthcare to the people and address the shortfall of healthcare professionals in the region.

The PM announced that another 500 seats in the state medical colleges would be added soon.
