Chhattisgarh polling centres to have 'Selfie Zones'

Raipur, Apr 2 (UNI) In an attempt to encourage more voters to cast their votes this Lok Sabha Elections, Chhattisgarh has set up 'Voter Selfie Zones' across all its polling centres, 23,727 in total. 

Chhattisgarh Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Subrat Sahoo told media that he has already issued circulars to every collector and district returning officer of the state to ensure arrangements for selfie zones.


Moreover, twenty-five best selfies would be selected for awards from every Lok Sabha constituency.


Polling for first phase of Lok Sabha elections in Chhattisgarh will be held on April 11 in Bastar Lok


Sabha constituency. Second phase in Kanker, Rajnandgaon and Mahasamund on April 18 and third in Raipur, Durg, Bilaspur,Janjgir-Champa, Korba, Raigarh and Sarguja on April 23.
