Chhattisgarh: Two Naxals killed in encounter

Jagdalpur/UNI: Two Naxals were killed in an encounter with police in Chhattisgarh's Sukma on Monday, police said.

According to police, the Sukma District Reserve Guard team was returning after a search operation in the forests of Danteshpuram in the morning. Then the Naxalites attacked with an ambush.

The police force also retaliated, killing two Naxals.

The Naxals have been identified as Madkam Erra and Podium Bheem, carrying a reward of Rs 8 lakh.

The police have taken the bodies of the Naxals into their custody.

Naxal literature, arms, ammunition and other items were recovered from the spot.
