Civilian injured after being shot at in south Kashmir's Anantnag

Srinagar/UNI: A civilian was injured in a suspected militant attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Friday evening, official sources said.

The militants shot at a civilian at Hassanpora Bijbehara leaving him injured, they said. He has been identified as Asif Ali Ganai a resident of Hassanpora Bijbehara.

Sources said Ganai was shifted to a local hospital.

Soon after the incident, the whole area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.

Police have not issued any statement on the incident so far.
