Class 10 girl student commits suicide in Assam’s Lakhimpur

According to family members, the meritorious girl student was unhappy with the state government’s decision of cancellation the Class 10 and Class 12 examinations in view of current COVID-19 situation.

According to family members, the meritorious girl student was unhappy with the state government’s decision of cancellation the Class 10 and Class 12 examinations in view of current COVID-19 situation.

The student was living with her mother at Korson Majkuri village in Lakhimpur district.

The victim’s mother said on Saturday morning her daughter told that she is unhappy with the government’s decision.

“She wished to show a good result in the Class 10 final examination. She committed suicide on Saturday evening at around 6 pm. Her father died few years back,” the victim’s mother said.
