New Delhi, Aug 10 (IBNS): A class two girl was raped by an electrician in a government-run Delhi school on Thursday, media reports said.

The electrician allegedly gagged the girl and dragged her to a water pump in the school premises and raped her.

The matter came to light after the girl divulged the incident to her parents.

The accused was arrested from the school after the victim identified the man.

The incident is an addition to a series of child rapes occurring in various parts of the country.

Earlier this year, an eight-year old girl in Kathua, Kashmir, was gang-raped and killed. The incident had shaken the country and sparked widespread criticisms.
