Close shave for Air India passengers in USA, plane makes emergency landing
New York, July 15 (IBNS) A Mumbai-bound Air India flight made an emergency landing at the Newark Airport in the United States after one of its engines caught fire soon after the take off on Sunday, said reports.
The Boeing 777 plane with over 300 passengers circled over the New Jersey sky and then made an emergency landing with three of its tyres deflating on landing.
However, no passenger was hurt though the plane was forced to make an overweight landing.
The incident occurred shortly after take off at 4-25 pm.
