Kolkata/IBNS: The Enforcement Directorate (ED ) has again summoned Trinamool Congress (TMC) All India general secretary Abhishek Banerjee in connection with its ongoing investigation into an illegal coal mining and smuggling scam, officials said on Saturday.

According to sources in the Central economic intelligence agency, TMC MP from Diamond Harbour, Abhishek Banerjee, has been asked to appear at the ED's Delhi office on Sept 21.

Earlier on Sept 6, ED investigators quizzed Abhishek Banerjee for more than eight hours in connection with the coal case.

Besides ED, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is also probing the recently busted Bengal based illegal coal mining and smuggling scam.
