College girl allegedly raped by person posing as policeman

Chennai, Dec 24 (IBNS): A college student in Chennai was allegedly by a person posing as a policeman, media reports said.

Police said the girl filed a police complaint in which the victim said she was with her boyfriend on Tuesday when the man stopped them at a check post and asked the girl to come with him for investigation.

The accused reportedly forced the girl to come with him on his motorcycle and sexually assaulted her.

Police said the incident was caught on CCTV camera also installed at the check post. A case of rape was registered with the police on the basis of the girl’s complaint. Now the investigation is being carried out.

“The medical report is yet to arrive. The victim is also giving contradictory information,” said a police officer.
