Conducting raids, UP police seals seven petrol pumps for theft

Lucknow, Apr 28 (IBNS) : Uttar Pradesh police on Thursday conducted raids at over a dozen petrol pumps to check the petrol theft and sealed seven of them, media reports said.

The raids were believed to have been conducted following a directive by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who has initiated a string of measures to implement his promise for "good governance."

According to reports, the raids were conducted by the STF of state police and at least seven petrol pumps -all in Lucknow-were found to have indulged in petrol theft.

These petrol pumps were allegedly selling less amount of petrol for the same amount of money with the help of electronic chips.
