New Delhi, Sept 16 (IBNS) Lambasting the Narendra Modi government for its move to withdraw postage stamps of former prime ministers Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi, the Congress on Wednesday said that it is an insult to the country's history.

Senior Congress leader Anand Sharma said the act also reflects the Modi government's narrow mindset.

His reaction came after Centre decided to withdraw stamps of former prime ministers, Rajiv and Indira Gandhi by replacing the 'Builders of Modern India' theme.

However, stamps of Jawaharlal Nehru, Mahatma Gandhi, BR Ambedkar and Mother Teresa have been retained.
