Congress leader joins BJP in Assam

Guwahati, Apr 9 (IBNS) Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit on Friday, a Congress leader has swapped team and joined arch rivals BJP on Saturday in Assam, drawing sharp criticism from Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi.

Pramod Swamy joined the BJP while ditching his old party, Congress  

Reacting to the incident, Chief Minister of Assam and a Congressman, Tarun Gogoi was quoted in the media as saying, "BJP has become a safe haven for corrupt people."
