Congress leader Sanjay Jha tests positive for Covid-19, in home quarantine

New Delhi/IBNS: Congress leader and spokesperson Sanjay Jha has tested positive for the deadly Novel Coronavirus or Covid-19.

Jha informed on Twitter that he has quarantined himself at home since he is asymptomatic.

He tweeted, "I have tested positive for Covid_19 . As I am asymptomatic I am in home quarantine for the next 10-12 days. Please don’t underestimate transmission risks, we are all vulnerable. Do take care all."

As per Ministry of Heath and Family Welfare, 1,18,447 Covid cases including 48,534 cured and 3,583 deaths have been reported.

Maharashtra, the western state of India, is still topping the list with 41,642 cases followed by Tamil Nadu (13,967), Gujarat (12,905) and Delhi (11,659).

India, the country of 1.3 billion people, has been under lockdown since Mar 24 midnight to stem the spread of the pandemic virus which is yet to have a cure or vaccine.

The lockdown was extended thrice and now the restrictions are due to expire on Jun 1.
