New Delhi, Feb 3 (IBNS) : The Opposition Congress on Friday moved a notice in the Lok Sabha seeking discussion on the alleged poor treatment of the family of departed lawmaker E Ahmed, reports said.

Raising slogans, the Congress members also staged noisy protests in the lower house leading to disrusption in the budget session.

Ahamed, a former union minister, died of a cardiac arrest on Tuesday, hours after he collapsed in parliament after the start of the budget session.

The Congress  has alleges that Ahmed's family was not allowed to meet him  at the Government-run Ram Manohar Lohia hospital.

On Tuesday night, Ahamed's family allegedly had an argument with the hospital authorities.

After his death, opposition parties demanded the budget to be postponed by a day as a mark of respect to the lawmaker.

But the Government proceeded with the schedule drawing sharp criticism from the Opposition.
