Cop ties WB Minister's shoelaces at function

Kolkata, May 25 (IBNS): West Bengal planning minister Rachhpal Singh on Monday triggered a controversy as he was caught on camera allowing a police bodyguard to tie his shoelaces.

The incident occurred at the state secretariat Nabanna where the Minister went to attend a function to honour sculptor Ramkinkar Baij, reports said.

Singh had apparently taken off his shoes to garland  the statue of the artiste and while he tried to put them back on, his police bodyguard helped him by tying the laces.

The Minister did not stop him.
