COVID-19: Maharashtra records 12,557 fresh cases, 233 deaths

Mumbai/UNI: Maharashtra on Sunday reported 12,557 fresh cases of COVID-19, taking the total case tally up to 58,31,781 as per the latest health bulletin from the state government.

During the past 24 hours, 233 patients succumbed to the ailment, which pushed the state's overall death toll to 99,745.

Meanwhile, 14,433 patients who were cured of the disease were discharged during the past 24 hours taking the number of recoveries across the state to 55,43,237.

Recovery rate has climbed to 95.05 percent while fatalities rate currently stands at 1.72 percent.

Presently 1,85,527 active cases are under treatment in the state, added the bulletin.
