Darekar quits as MNS general secy

| | Oct 23, 2014, at 05:06 am
Mumbai, Oct 22 (IBNS) Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) general secretary Pravin Darekar resigned from his post on Wednesday, media reports said.

"I am undecided on whether to quit the party or stay on. For now I shall be an ordinary party worker,'' he was quoted as saying by The Times of India.

"I worked very hard in my constituency. I have done a lot of development work. Fifty per cent votes a candidate gets are on account of the work done by him and his relations with voters. The remainder is on account of the party's ideology and agenda. There has been confusion over our party policy and agenda, and this is the reason for the party's debacle,'' said Darekar.

The MNS won just one seat in the recently held Maharashtra Assembly polls.
